Darren Bailey - Dancer

Darren is a 10 times consecutive World Line Dance Champion in categories such as, Classic, Showcase, Choreography, and Teams.  He has also toured Europe & America in theatre productions of “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” and “Passion and Illusion”. In 2006 Darren retired from competing, but has continued judging, choreographing and conducting workshops throughout the UK and Europe.  Darren has also trained several of the current World Line Dance Champions.  

In 2006 Darren was partnered with Lana Williams for the BBC1 Show, Strictly Dance Fever, where they finished as runners ups from a total of 80,000 competitors.  Following this Darren, along with his dance partner, has gone on to work professionally within the entertainment industry, his T.V credits include : The New Paul O Grady show - Channel 4 (live) and ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent (live) backing dancer, as part of Swing X- treme.  The National Lottery, BBC1 with Lionel Blair, BBC’s - The Coal House, dance teacher and guest performer.  BBC Wales documentary ‘Dance House 1944’ - Featured dancer.  
Other credits include:  Ambassador Of Swing - Manhattan Theate, New York.  Dance and Rhythm with Angela Ripon - The London Palladium, ‘Fever’ - Jive Aces music video.  Picnic In The Park - Dubai. Mall Of The Emirates - Dubai.  Corporate Team Building Promotional Video - HSBC.  Catwalk male model for Gucci and Armani suits.  NHS Annual Awards Ceremony, choreographer (Northampton), and numerous charity events.

Darren is a versatile dancer and choreographer.  Along with swing, Darren has trained in a number of different styles including Latin American, Ballroom, Cuban and Linedance.
